Pre-Service Preparation

• Assess the Situation: Evaluate the extent of the hoarding and identify areas of concern.
• Gather Necessary Supplies: Collect boxes, bags, gloves, masks, and any other cleaning supplies needed for the job.
• Establish a Safety Plan: Identify potential hazards such as mold, sharp objects, or structural concerns and plan accordingly.

During Service

• Sort Items: Categorize items into keep, donate, recycle, and discard piles.
• Remove Hazardous Materials: Safely dispose of any hazardous or biohazard materials found during the cleanup.
• Clean and Sanitize: Thoroughly clean the space after removing items, including dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.

Post-Service Verification

• Conduct a Final Walkthrough: Inspect the area to ensure that all items have been properly sorted and removed.
• Check for Safety Hazards: Ensure that the area is safe and free of any remaining hazards.
• Provide a Cleanup Report: Document the process and provide a summary of what was accomplished and any recommendations for future maintenance.
